Abstract

There are considered modern data on etiology, pathogenesis, the course of pregnancy, methods of the diagnosis of arterial hypertension in pregnancy. There are presented data about the morphological changes in the placenta, the role of growthfactors and their receptors, as well as modern views on the problem ofplacental insufficiency as the main cause of hypertension in pregnancy.
