Abstract

The article describes the monograph by the Australian historian of German origin Mark Edele, “Soviet veterans of the Second World War. A popular movement in an authoritarian society, 1941–1991” (2008; 2023), translated into Russian, which is the first comprehensive study of the history of the veterans’ movement in the USSR in the post-war period.
