The HPV DNA was detected in 98 pregnant women, puerperae and their newborns, distributed into three hroups: 1) (n = 57) patients with abnormal cervix uteri or genital papillomatosis; 2) (n = 18) patients with HIV infection; and 3) control (n = 23). The HPV DNA was isolated from the genital tract in 84.2, 61.1, and 39.1% pregnant women in groups 1, 2, and 3, respectively, and was associated with abnormalities of the cervix uteri and genital papillomatosis. A total of 84% placentas were infected mainly by the same genotype of HPV, associated with vaginitis, cervix uteri disease and genital papillomatosis, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, small for date fetus, and hydramnion. The number of HPV genotypes in the genital tract and the maternal viral charge determined the infection of the placenta and newborn’s airways.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Целью исследования было выявить клинические и вирусологические факторы инфицирования плаценты и верхних дыхательных путей новорожденного вирусом папилломы человека (ВПЧ). ДНК ВПЧ диагностировали у 98 беременных и родильниц, а также у их новорожденных. Первую группу составили пациентки с патологией шейки матки или генитальным папилломатозом (n = 57); 2-ю группу - пациентки с ВИЧ-инфекцией (n = 18); 3-ю, контрольную, - ВИЧ-отрицательные пациентки без патологии шейки матки и генитального папилломатоза (n = 23). ДНК ВПЧ из генитального тракта беременных получена в 84,2, 61,1 и 39,1% случаев в 1, 2 и 3-й группах соответственно, и ассоциирована с патологией шейки матки и генитальным папилломатозом. Инфицировано 84,0% плацент, преимущественно ВПЧ одного генотипа, связанного с вагинитом, патологией шейки матки и генитальным папилломатозом, дисплазией шейки матки, задержкой роста плода, многоводием. Количество генотипов ВПЧ в половых путях определяет инфицирование плаценты и дыхательных путей новорожденного.
